Throughout the year we tend to focus on what could or should be and instead this year we have decided to focus on what is and will be. Moving into the Ballentine-Spence House has been an amazing journey of learning how to care for an older home, understanding the restrictions of owning a historical landmark, making wonderful new friendships with people in our community, and sharing our hope for a beautiful and caring future.
We will be hosting three Holiday Card Signing Parties this year at the Ballentine-Spence House. And while looking through cards and online for Christmas holiday quotes we have found a few that really spoke to us about the true reason for this season and we wanted to share them with you.
A Christmas candle is a lovely thing:
It makes no noise at all.
But softly gives itself away.
~ Eva Logue
May the spirit of Christmas bring you peace,
The gladness of Christmas give you hope,
The warmth of Christmas grant you love.

“As we thank God for his many blessings this Christmas, let us also pray for Peace on Earth.” ~ Author Unknown
“You know you’ve grown up when none of the things you want for Christmas can be bought at a store.” ~ Acid_Queen
“Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas.” ~ Peg Bracken
Candy Canes and Silver Lanes
Sleigh Bells Ring, snow is glistening!
~ Michelle Musumeci
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. Wishing you happiness.” ~ Helen Keller
“This is my wish for you: peace of mind, prosperity through the year, happiness that multiplies, health for you and yours, fun around every corner, energy to chase your dreams, joy to fill your holidays!” ~ D.M. Dellinger
We hope you are able to use some of these while writing your holiday cards this year. We have found them to bring back memories of great joy and the feeling of peace and contentment for tomorrow.
We wish you every happiness during this holiday season.
From our family to yours.
